Taylor and Roberto got married last October 1st at The Cape Hotel Cabo San Lucas and decided to have the music for their ceremony and cocktail accompanied by the CaboStrings strings duet, the best wedding musicians in Cabo

CaboStrings kicked off the 2022- 2023 season with this incredible gay wedding in Cabo San Lucas. A season that is once again full of events and that will not end until the middle of July 2023.

It seems that summer in Los Cabos always asks for a few more days to say goodbye to all of us and it is not until October when autumn welcomes us, tempering the heat and giving us an ideal climate to celebrate your wedding in Cabo

Where is The Cape Hotel?

The Cape Hotel is in a privileged location. It is hard to imagine a hotel in the entire Baja region that has such spectacular views of the Cabo San Lucas arch as this hotel. The sound of the sea that you can hear in every corner of the hotel, reminds us that the beach just a few meters away, is frequented daily by professional surfers from around the world due to the large size of its waves.

Weddings in The Cape Hotel

As wedding musicians we have realized that the wedding ceremonies at this Cabo San Lucas resort are very common throughout the year. The different spaces to celebrate every moment of your big day are relatively close to each other. However, one space does not overshadow the other as we will see below:

Ceremonies are almost always held on an island near the main lobby, just below the giant artistic figure of a whale made of branches that decorates the entrance to the hotel. It is a small space but can accommodate up to 120 people without any problem. The views of the arch from this place are an absolute spectacle.

The cocktail is usually held on the rooftop of the hotel. “The Rooftop” is a bar that has a life of its own and is frequented and open to the public by many tourists and locals (when there is no private event) to enjoy unforgettable evenings. The dinner and the wedding party at The Cape are also held at the Rooftop but in another space where the music of one place and the other does not interfere.

The couple Taylor and Roberto did not want to miss the opportunity to get married with their loved ones with the privileged views of The Cape Hotel. So privileged that they decided not to have an altar at the ceremony. Why did they need an altar when the scenery around us is beautiful enough?

The music for the wedding

Guests enjoyed pre-ceremony songs such as Thousand Years, I’m not the only one or Say you won’t let go, performed by CaboStrings, while waiting in the shade at the top of the hotel lobby before taking their seats after walking down the stairs leading to them. The heat was relentless even on a day as special as this one. Downstairs, on the island with the umbrella included, the beautiful notes of the violin and cello were spreading throughout the venue.

As wedding musicians in Los Cabos we are used to perform around 3 or 4 songs during the ceremony. As you know, the first song is the groom’s song followed by the Processional and the bride’s entrance. But how is this done in a wedding where there are two bride and groom?

Sure, one of the most romantic ways we know, and we tell you why:

For the Processional Taylor and Roberto chose the song Halo by Beyonce. The chords that the violinist Elena Rollán played with her Yamaha electric violin were very emotional. There is no better violinist in Cabo San Lucas.

After this melody, the bride and groom decided to enter together hand in hand. From the top of the lobby, all the guests watched as the loving couple descended the stairs on their way to meet the wedding minister.

They chose the original melody of the song Somewhere only we know by Keane, a song that Roberto played on the cello, given the similar register of this instrument to the human voice. The “I do” and the departure of the bride and groom as newlyweds was accompanied by the song Love Again by Dua Lipa.

The cocktail was held on the rooftop and Fadwa Wedding Planner main event and CEO of the company Cabo Celebrations provided us with a quick transfer from the ceremony area to the cocktail.

There, guests enjoyed “Made in Thompson Hotels” hors d’oeuvres, delicious cocktails, and breathtaking views of the bay. The music was at the height of the CaboStrings, who interpreted the most virtuous melodies for this special occasion.

A warm embrace with the bride and groom ended the first of many events that the 2022 -2023 season awaits us at CaboStrings.
